Morimaj times Five

I feel so blessed to have been married to my best friend for 5 years now... we had such a nice anniversary night with our girls and I got the best gift - a necklace with both my girls names stamped on it and a little heart :) We wrote cards to eachother and they practically had the same content which to me was so cute because it just shows how close we are and how we share the same priorities and love for our family and our life together :) I'm so lucky!

Viviene is 6 Months today :)

I can not believe my baby is already 6 months... it is truly amazing how fast time really does fly...

Viviene is our little monster… she sits up beautifully, rocks back and forth on all fours, attempts to move forward, but only really scooches backwards… she sleeps through the night most nights (7-4/5is) with lots of binky trips and will occasionally wake up for bottles, she loves when you clap and LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, she loves Liliana so much and she loves Carmen, she eats Oatmeal, applesauce, bananas, green beans, sweet potatoes, peas and had a yucky reaction to peaches, she makes this really funny sound where she acts like she is breathing in really deeply and is just so loud in general, she “yells” and has the cutest little belly laugh, she prefers to sit up all the time and loves to watch TV :)

I really love her more than I ever could have imagined... it was so hard to conceptualize how I was going to be able to share my love so equally between my two girls once Viviene was born… its something bigger than me and its something I should have never worried about, because the second I saw her I was so deeply in love that it took my breath away…

Being a Mommy is such a gift, one I truly believe you can not understand until you are blessed with the opportunity. Every day I look at both of my babies and wonder how on earth we got so lucky… that these two beautiful girls are ours… that we made them… and that we are going to be the most important people in their lives forever and ever…

Viviene is such a gift to each of us… Liliana is so completely in love with her – and I think Viviene loves her back even more if that is at all possible. Viviene lights up whenever she even hears Lil and the moment Liliana is close enough, Viviene dives for her and “attacks” her… it’s so fun to watch…

Joe and Viviene have an amazing bond… she loves her Daddy so much. I am so proud of Joe and so honored that he chose me to create our perfect family with.

I worry sometimes about my bond with Viviene because I was unable to nurse her past 6 weeks, but I can see in her eyes that I am being silly… she is so beautiful and healthy and happy… she is right where she belongs and she completes us.

After our nightly routine of reading books and hugs & kisses, Lil told Joe and I to 'go away and get in our own bed' cause she was 'weallllllly tired guys'....

to say I am in love with her is just not quite enough :)

I could not be happier to annouce that my very best friend in the whole wide world is getting married! Her fiance planned the most perfect engagement (he popped the question the evening she first heard her baby's heartbeat) and we all celebrated after with a fun dinner :)

To top all of that off, she has asked me to be her MOH (our term for Maid of Honor). I can not explain how super excited I am for all of the wonderful things happening to Kel.  It's like they are happening to me as well :)

New Car Seats!

 I can't believe my girls are both in new big girl car seats!

Viv was so funny this morning when I put her in her new one (Lil's old one)... she was holding on for dear life:

Songs for My Girls...

My song for Liliana is Lullaby by the Dixie Chicks.  From the time I first heard it, I knew it was just perfect and I played it in the car everyday and sang my heart out.  I really feel like we bonded during car rides when I was pregnant.  The car was always so quiet and I was able to just focus on talking to her and singing to her and thinking about her :)  My favorite part of the song is:

And then there is poor Viviene.  I didn't plan for a song for us, and I spent most of my time in the car singing with Liliana to Barney songs, etc...  I thought a lot about picking a song, but nothing ever seemed right!??! Then one day after she was born I started singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow to her and she LOVED it.  If you know me well enough, you know I can NOT sing, like at all.  But for some reason, even at her fussiest and most uncomfortable, Viv would calm right down and even laugh out loud.  I didn't even know the right words at first, just the general idea that... someday I'll wish upon a star :)


I like having little "things" with the girls... and I love lyrics to songs... my hope is that when they are growing up and hear those particular songs they think of happy times of us singing and dancing together... the best is when Joe sings his own made up versions of songs... Lil and I laugh so hard :)

10 weeks :)

Not me!

Kelly is having her first baby and I really can not explain my excitement.  She has been by my side my whole life through all of the good times and all of the bad times.  I honestly would not be the person I am today without her in my life and I could not be more happy for anyone else in this entire world.

Kelly was born to be a Mommy.  She has talked me down a gazillion times regarding my kids and has offered the best suggestions when I was at my wits end.  She loves my girls as if they are her own and I can not wait for the day to hold my Godbaby in my arms and return the favor :)

My absolute favorite part of the day is at 4:50 pm...

Right around then I hear Joe's car pull into the driveway; music is playing (usually Party in The USA by Miley); Liliana is helping me cook (or heat up) dinner; Viviene is in her bouncer or high chair giggling away at her adorable big sister; Carmen is under someones feet being absolutely as annoying as can be; and everyone is smiling :)

Can I do this?

I really want to become a savvy blogger with clever things to say all about my girls and my life... and I know I am funny and am quick with my thoughts... but when I sit and try and think of things to blog about... I draw a blank EVERYTIME...

I guess I could blog about how Liliana is quite possibly the sweetest, funniest two-year-old I have ever met... or how Viviene is so refreshing and perfect...

I could blog about my battle with breyer's chocolate ice cream.... you can imagine I lose everytime we go to war or my love of cooking paired with my hatred for my mini kitchen...

I could also blog about how much I love my husband and best friend, so much so that sometimes I have to tone it down so people don't get annoyed by our perfect story...

So, I have lots of ideas but I need to find the clever part of me and learn how to write about these ideas...

I am probably over-thinking this all wayyyyyyyyy to much :)

Introducing Viviene Lyn Romano!

I am so ridiculoulsy happy to be a mommy again :) I never knew I could love this much. Viviene is the perfect addition to my already perfect family.

Viv was born on May 20, 2009 at a very healthy 9 pounds, 2 ounces. She was 21 and 1/2 inches long and I felt every ounce and inch :) Her birth was quite an experience; however, I would not trade one second of it!

Joe, Lil and I are so in love with her. Viviene is such a happy, sweet baby. Her laughs brighten our mornings and her coos are beyond breathtaking. My most favorite part of having two girls is watching them together. The bond between sisters is truly magical.

I cannot explain how blessed and lucky I truly feel inside. To be so madly in love with my best friend and to know that we made these two beautful girls is the best feeling in the whole world. I am so thankful for our newest addtion, Veen (as Liliana so proudly calls her!)
